Ev 8 (255808), April. 11 to 23, 2023 REMEMBERING OUR FOUNDER Princess Auto’s 3500 Team Members Coss RV best bome boob jabaCem rtbih lense pe msc bliin mney ec the remarkable life and memory of Harvey Tallman. Born in Winnipeg’s North End in 1923, Harvey became the owner of Princess Auto Wrecking in 1942, when it was still a wrecking yard and workshop located on Princess Street. Before long, he took it from a car stripping operation to a manufacturing and retailing business, selling farm and industrial machinery made from army surplus goods. His bold vision and dedication to creating a unique company serving hard-working Canadians established Princess Auto as a household name across the country. Even after Harvey retired in 1976, he remained immersed in the business by visiting the stores and offices, and spending time with the countless team members, customers and vendors that often be-came his lifelong friends. He believed in treating people well and building lasting relationships. The impact of Harvey on this business can be seen and felt over 80 years later, but perhaps his most important legacy will be the way he treated each and every person he met. Harvey Tallman has left an enduring impression on our business and our people, with a vision that will guide and inform the many chapters yet to be written for our company. Our deepest condolences to the entire Tallman family as we reflect on the incredible life of a Father, Grandfather and mentor whose far-reaching impact PRINCESS AUTQ can be seen all around us.
