RAT UT BUILDING PLANS EX) TT À Co-op is many things to its members. One of those is a trusted name for home, project and farm building plans. With an ever-present need fornewand customized buildings, your local Co-op has invested in trained professionals who are ready to help take your next build from concept to completion This past year, Wander Slomp, owner/operator of WS Farms Ltd. since 2006, located near Barrhead, Alta, needed to upgrade his shop and storage shed. With 200 milking cows, 200 replacement heifers and a grain farm, the 37-year-old has a busy operation on his hands. He needed a shop space that worked for him, a space where he could easily store equipment and work on various projects throughout the year. Previously, his storage building and shop was a 40° by 60' structure. He contacted Neerlandia Co-op, where he's been a member for 20 years, to discuss his vision. What started as a casual conversation about PRIT) how Co-op could help him quickly turned into Slomp enlisting Co-op to supply and give life to his new shop Slomp's new shop is 64° by 120° it can hold his equipment and provides a suitable workshop space. Slomp even carved out a wash bay to ensure his equipment is clean and always ready for use. Plans and support for any project Co-op's Home & Cottage, Project, and Farm Building Plans are popular among prospective customers who are ready to build or begin planning a new structure Overthe years, Neerlandia Co-op has helped Slomp complete other building projects, along with the supply of fuel and crop inputs. The fact that Co-op was able to provide a complete picture of the build is what impressed him the most. “They just take more time with you,” said Slomp. “Co-op usually goes over and above." A unique feature in Slomp's shop is two-foot centre rafters, as opposed to four-foot centres, commonly seen in other builds. Slomp appreciated how Nathan Schouten, Neerlandia Co-op's Building Materials Manager, was willing to make sure the shop he wanted would be right “At any time of day | could go in the office, and if 1 needed advice on something or how to build it or what beams we need, they're always there, willing to help," he explained. “That's never been an issue atthe Co-op; they know what type of buildings we need and use.” Slomp was advised during the preparation phase of where the best location would be for the shop to ensure it complied with area land-use bylaws Situated at the front of the yard, the shop is a quick walk from the house, an important detail for Slomp. Materials you can count on Best of all, Slomp said he knew that with Co-op in charge of materials, he had nothing to worry about. “Co-op has always been able to deliver stuff when
