Hudson's Bay is Canada's oldest company, having been in operation for over 350 years. The company has moved far away from its roots as a fur trading company, and now operates retail stores, both in person and online, throughout Canada.

The Hudson's Bay Company was founded in 1670 as a fur trading business, back when European explorers were first discovering Canada. It has long since shifted gears from fur trading and now operates a retail business across Canada. It is frequently referred to as just The Bay, and carries many products found in a department store, including housewares, clothing, electronics, shoes, jewelry, appliances, and so much more.

As a large store, there are frequent sales, promotions, and clearance items available for shoppers. There is a significant sale section online for customers to browse. Hudson's Bay also offers a rewards program, where customers can open a credit card and earn points on every purchase, redeemable in store on a variety of goods.

Hudson's Bay is committed to growth and change, and have recently announced a new initiative that will focus on the three critical areas of education, employment and empowerment. These three focus areas are part of The Hudson's Bay Foundation's commitment to accelerate racial equity, which is a 10-year and $30 million commitment and investment into communities.

Hudson's Bay has always been a leader in the community, with a variety of initiatives and programs. One memorable and important program is their sponsorship with the Canadian Olympic team. Ever since 1936, Hudson's Bay has been the official outfitter for the team, providing apparel to the athletes. Beyond this, Hudson's Bay is involved in many community and charitable activities through the HBC Foundation.
