Slice onion into I-inch thick rings, keeping them together. Stick a toothpick or skewer through the onion rings to hold in place. Coat with oil. Grill onions on preheated medium-high grill, turning occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until golden and tender; set aside. Sprinkle steaks all over with steak spice. Grill, turning twice, for about 5 minutes or until well grill marked and a hint of pink remains inside. Slice buns and tuck 2 steaks into each one.
