The Real Canadian Superstore, or just Superstore as it is commonly called, is one of Canada's biggest and most popular supermarkets. It is owned by Loblaw Companies and is home to the President's Choice brand, which is known for quality food and low prices. They are a fully stocked grocery store, a home-improvement store, and fashion store (through their Joe Fresh brand) all rolled into one.
Superstore opened in 1979 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan under the name SuperValu. The name is still used in British Columbia and the Maritimes, though most have now shifted to become Superstore. Stores are branded differently across the country, with some co-branding with Loblaw. No matter what store, you will find a wide selection of groceries, electronics, clothing, and home goods. Superstore operates in Western Canada, with stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and the territory of Yukon.
Known for their affordable prices and large value sizing, Superstore is a budget choice for many Canadians. There are weekly flyers available in store and online for discounts and promotions. They also operate the PC (President's Choice) Optimum card to collect points on your purchased. Finally, Superstore has some product lines, such as the "naturally imperfect" line of produce that sells produce at a lower price because it is not aesthetically perfect.
As a large Canadian retailer, there is always evolving news stories and initiatives at Superstore. One of these initiatives is the PC Chef Meal Kits, where you can select meals that you would like to make at home, and they are bundled together for your purchase with instructions on how to make them.
The Real Canadian Superstore is proud to work with the PC Children's Charity, which has helped over 5 million children over 31 years across Canada. This is just one way that Superstore and President's Choice is giving back to the community.
