HISTORY OF PRINCESS AUTO Princess Auto catalogue production evolved from the letterpress days of the 50’s, to cut-and-paste during the 80’s and 90's, to computer-generated layouts from 2000 onward. The original digest size switched to full-size format because of the increasing amount of items. Notable milestones: the first full-colour edition (Fall/Winter 2004, #249), the first large format edition (Fall/Winter 2009, #269), and our first French printed edition (2017, #291). - Es 1951 Our first edition appeared in 1951 asa , a mail-order catalogue sent to Canadian WAR SURPLY, farmers across the country. Most of the products were war surplus, and repurposed equipment removed from decommissioned military aircraft. It was THE source for hand tools, welders, air compressors, repurposed items, hydraulics, RY ee recreational gear and fascinating oddities.
